Mr Uzo Udemba,

Shortly after graduating with Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the university of Nigeria Nsukka, set
up his own business fifty years afterwards in 1993; a Civil Engineering consulting firm
which later extended to other sectors of the knowledge and culture industry.

1993

(CTL) started business with a terrestrial MMDS cable Tv operation in Port Harcourt. Extending to 11 other cities

1995

CTL’s quest for innovation leads to the introduction of revolutionary multicipher STB

1999

CTL made world headlines when it became the first to launch a 2 way high speed fixed broadband wireless internet service on MMDS spectrum

2000

CTL is included in the US NAB “Customer Wall of Fame” as the first African Company to be honored

2001

CTL’s Supernet 300 served corporations, government institutions and residential homes and ranked #1 in West Africa ISPs in Sep 2001

2003

CTL’s Expanded its services to include DTH Satellite pay TV service, branded TREND TV

2019

CTL begins a transition to a Pan African and Pan Caribbean digital media operator, setting up a CTL base in Guyana and sealing up key technical and technology partnerships.

2020

Project scoping, Technical designs, vendor evaluation and final selection. Conclusion of business plan and initial investments. Content acquisition.

2021

Technical designs, Q2 OTT PoC, field trials, PoC on Fixed wireless and hybrid satellite solution scheduled for Q4.

Our History

The Udemba Group TUG takes its roots from a family tradition of
entrepreneurship and leadership which started with the patriarch of the family PaUdemba Onyenuforo who in 1943 set up a road transportation company as one of the pioneer transport companies in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.

TUG Marshall Plan (TMPA)

TUG Marshall Plan for Africa (TMPA)  is a  metaphor for a private sector led  empowerment of post neocolonial Africas by Africans as the USA led Marshall Planof 1948 empowered postwar
Europe. It will be implemented in JV partnerships  with technology and financial partners across the Atlantic Ocean, the India ocean and the Mediterranean Sea and in close collaboration with
the African  private and public sectors.
